Abuja Job Vacancies for Graduate Education Officers & Teachers at FCT Secondary Education Board

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) was created on 31st December 2004 following the scrapping of the Ministry of the Federal Capital Territory (MFCT).  Since its establishment, the FCTA has been administered by the following Ministers.

•    Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-rufai     2004-2007
•    Dr. Aliyu Moddibbo Umar            2007- 2008

The establishment of the Federal capital Territory Administration is one of the key elements of the Administrative reforms of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to reposition the FCT towards enhanced service delivery.

The FCT Secondary Education Board - Abuja oversees the management of public secondary schools in the FCT, recruitment, appointment, promotion and discipline of teaching and non-teaching staff, disbursement of funds, undertaking new capital projects, training and retraining teaching and non-teaching staff, posting and deployment of staff including inter-state transfer and setting up of an effective functional supervisory unit.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the positions below in the FCT Rural Secondary Schools.

1.)  Education Officer II/I  (on fresh appointment)
Qualification Required:
•         Applicants should posses a minimum academic qualification which should include any of the followings: B.ED, BA, ED, B.SC, ED, B.TECH, ED or HND plus Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDB).
•         In addition, be certified as a professional teacher by TRCN

2.)  Teachers
Applications are required in the under listed subject areas in the FCT Rural Secondary Schools.

In the following areas:
English Language, Asric. Science, French Lang., Visual Art, Mathematics, Book keeping and Account, Igbo Lang., Tech. Drawing, Further Maths, Government, Hausa Lang., Music, Biology, Home Management, Yoruba Lang., Arabic, Chemistry, Food and Nutrition, CRK, Information Technology, Physics, Health Science, IRK, Economics, Physical Education, Commerce,

Condition of Service:
•     As applicable in the Public Service.
