OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
MSH seeks an Associate Director, Training and Capacity Building for a project whose goal is to 1-provide quality HIV/AIDS services throughout Nigeria (including anti-retroviral treatments) and 2-expand the capacity of the public and private sectors to sustain these services, enhancing the quality of services at national, state, and local levels and demonstrating increased leveraging of funding from the Government of Nigeria as well as other sources. This project will include a component to develop benchmarks to monitor and evaluate this expanded capacity of the health system to coordinate, support, deliver, and monitor quality HIV/AIDS care, treatment, and laboratory services.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The Associate Director, Training and Capacity Building, heads the development and operationalization of SIDHAS technical and institutional training programs. The Associate Director is an internal, cross-cutting technical resource who works in collaboration with the Capacity Development Systems Specialist to organize effective organization development training programs as well as with other SIDHAS Associate Directors, and the Director of Health System Strengthening to design and deliver effective technical training programs. The Associate Director conducts training needs assessments and develops new training programs that are participatory, innovative, and enhance learning and application for sustainability. This position also structures on-the-job training and coaching programs to make them more responsive to current needs, organizes continuous professional education, contributes to the design of the SIDHAS fellowship program.
